Vidya Balan has made sure to highlight the strength in women through her career, and her latest role as Shakuntala Devi is absolutely no different. The Bollywood legend played the late mathematical genius – known as the ‘human calculator` – in her new film, which dropped on Amazon Prime Video on 31 July. Shakuntala earned a position in the Guinness Book of World Records thanks to her incredible talents, with a posthumous certificate handed out just this week. And Vidya, 41, was full of praise for her real-life character – who died in 2013 – explaining that she was calling for equality at a time when many others in India didn`t understand what that meant.
